This Deep Fried Calamari recipe is gluten free and very quick and easy to prepare.
INGREDIENTS
- 1 Packet frozen Calamari Rings
- Mazena
- Ground Salt & Pepper to taste
- 2L Canola Oil for deep frying
PREPARATION
- Empty packet of Calamari into a colander and rinse under tap until ice melts.
- Salt & Pepper rings to taste.
- Toss spiced rings in a bowl of Mazena until each ring is coated.
- In a large deep pot add the bottle of oil and heat until oil is hot.
- Fry calamari in batches until they start going golden +- 8 minutes
- Remove rings from oil and place in a dish lined with paper towel to absorb excess oil.
- Serve with the sauce you desire, rice, chips or veg and enjoy!
For best results serve immediately.
