Deep Fried Calamari

This Deep Fried Calamari recipe is gluten free and very quick and easy to prepare.

INGREDIENTS

  • 1 Packet frozen Calamari Rings
  • Mazena 
  • Ground Salt & Pepper to taste
  • 2L Canola Oil for deep frying

PREPARATION

  1. Empty packet of Calamari into a colander and rinse under tap until ice melts.
     
  2. Salt & Pepper rings to taste.
     
  3. Toss spiced rings in a bowl of Mazena until each ring is coated.
     
  4. In a large deep pot add the bottle of oil and heat until oil is hot.
     
  5. Fry calamari in batches until they start going golden +- 8 minutes
     
  6. Remove rings from oil and place in a dish lined with paper towel to absorb excess oil.
     
  7. Serve with the sauce you desire, rice, chips or veg and enjoy!
      

For best results serve immediately.

Cook Time: 16 minutes

Total Time: 26 minutes
